Inner Line Permit (ILP)

Domestic (Indian) visitors: An Inner Line Permit (ILP) is required for Indian (Domestic) visitors’ entry into Nagaland. You may apply here: https://ilp.nagaland.gov.in/ . If you reside in New Delhi, Kolkata, Shillong or Guwahati where there is a Nagaland House office, you will also be able to obtain an ILP application form and make your application there. If you require any assistance with the process, please email us at gathering@highlandinstitute.org

Note: there is some inconsistency in the government websites on ILP requirements. Institute staff have consulted with local state authorities and local tour operators and can confirm that foreign visitors do not require an ILP permit. However, passport information and destination address will be requested upon arrival in Dimapur.
